Cheers to a new year and #biggoals

There’s no better way to start off a new year than to have a solid social plan. We’re challenging ourselves and you to kickstart 2023 off with a few social media “resolutions” for your best social year yet!

Here are 5 resolutions you can implement in January!

  1. Post once a day - This can be a story, grid post, TikTok and/or Reel. Read more on slide 3
  2. Start a TikTok account - We promise it’s not hard! More on this in slide 6
  3. Post exclusive content to social media - Let your followers know they will see your newest products on social media first! Highlight a collection or do a giveaway encouraging followers to hit the like and follow button which keeps engagement high.
  4. Try going Live! - Show the person behind the designs. Followers want to feel like they know you and want to connect with you. Share some behind the scenes or go live while you’re working on your next creation and answer any questions that come through. Make sure to give them a heads up so they can plan to watch.
  5. Be consistent but avoid the burnout. If you skip a day or you’re just not feeling creative, that’s ok! Take a day off or find someone to help you out that really enjoys social media. Think about hiring a student that can intern for school credit.

31 day challenge

Post once a day? Ummm… as if I don’t have a life or 1,000 other things to do.

  • This is where a content calendar/scheduler comes in handy. It allows you to schedule out content for the future so you can set it and forget it! Some tools include Later, Hootsuite, Planoly and Creator Studio if you have a Facebook Business Manager account.

  • Not feeling creative for 31 days worth of content? Think about upcoming events, important dates and seasonally relevant trends. Quotes, polls, giveaways & teaser announcements make for quick and easy story content. There are a lot of great pre-made social templates you can use.

  • Repurpose! Use your content in as many places as possible. If you make a video, post it as a reel and reshare to your stories. Don’t forget to share to TikTok also! Just remember to remove the TikTok watermark before posting on Instagram.

The clock is TikTok’ing. Get Started!

  • TikTok currently has 1 billion active users and 90% of them access the platform daily. Take advantage of this vast audience by creating your own presence on the platform.

  • Here is a quick guide for getting started.

  • Just remember: Don’t overwhelm yourself. A great way to get started is by repurposing your videos & reels you posted on Instagram and simply post them to TikTok. Choose some trending music or audio, type a caption, add a few hashtags and you’re all set!
