The mission of the Transportation Department is to provide the safest transportation possible and to start and end each bus rider's day in a positive environment.

Transportation Staff: Department Hours: Open 5:00 AM – Close 8:00 PM

  • 73 School Bus Drivers, 5 Substitutes & 3 currently in a training program
  • 10 Motor Pool Van Drivers transporting Out of District MKV Routes
  • 1 Bus Para to support Special Ed 1:1 during Out of District Route.

  • Bus Capacity checked & adjusted
  • Bus Stops are reviewed & placed outside 1 mile
  • Route Overloads are addressed & balanced in September
  • Hazardous Walking areas are reviewed.
  • Review & Follow Board Policy
  • Strictly adhere to the funded walking area to maximize funding

To maintain efficiency and to meet funding requirements- All routes are reviewed annually and repackaged as needed.

    • Dispatchers are still driving routes for sub coverage 3-5 times per week and we continue to double-run as needed to keep routes covered
