The ABCs of On Track!

  1. Attendance: 95% - This means you should miss no more than ONE day of school each month.
  2. Behavior: No Detentions and take accountability for your choices.
  3. Credit Attainment:

ON TRACK: Pass Four Core and One More: This means you are passing ALL CLASSES!

FIRMLY ON TRACK: A’s and B’s: This means you should have a grade of 80% or higher in all of your classes!

What does the On-Track Model Mean?

BUT…

All students are expected to:

  • Phone off and away during instructional time (including class periods, assemblies, town halls, etc.)
    • Silent or Powered Off (No Vibrate)
    • Visible Phone = Phone in Use
    • Airpods or Headphones = Phone in Use
  • Use phones only with teacher permission, if the phone is needed for classwork.

Acceptable Use Times:

  • Before School, Lunch, After School
  • Hallway Passes During Class
    • Hallway use is not permitted. Parents are to contact school if a child needs to be reached and the main office will contact the classroom that the student is in.

Teacher Discretion for Instructional Use:

  • Teachers may incorporate phones for academic purposes (polls, research, language translation)
    • Any misuse results in loss of privilege

9th Grade Cell Phone Policy

Upon response to classroom, Mr. Bowman will:

  • Redirect the you to his office
  • Collect the phone
  • Give you a cell phone locker key to be able to retrieve your phone from my office at the end of the day.

Mr. Bowman will also:

  • Contact your parent/guardian
  • Reiterate the cell phone policy & encourage them to contact the school or myself in the event that that they need to contact you.
