Before you get started…

This slide deck uses alt text to describe images and videos in a clear and accessible way.

You can access the alt text in two ways:

  1. Audio: Using a screen reader.
  2. Written: In the “speaker notes” box under the slide, after any lesson plan instructions. Read the alt text aloud to support students who would benefit from a verbal description of the image.

Quick notes:

  • If you want to edit the alt text yourself, right click the image or video while editing the slide deck, and select “Alt text.”
  • If an image or video is labeled “Decorative,” that means it is for aesthetic purposes and does not provide additional context or information related to the lesson plan.
