Downloading- Computer

To download and install the Zoom Application:

  • Go to https://zoom.us/download and from the Download Center, click on the Download button under “Zoom Client For Meetings”.�
    • This application will automatically download when you start your first Zoom Meeting.
  • Once the download is complete, proceed with installing the Zoom application onto your computer.
  • A Zoom account is not required if you are joining as a participant. If someone invites you to their meeting, you can join as a participant without creating an account.

Joining a Zoom Meeting via Computer

​

  • Open your Google Calendar Invite. You will see the Zoom link in the event details.
  • Click on the link and the page will open. (If you have not downloaded Zoom before, it will prompt you to do so now).
  • You will have the option to be on video as well as turn the camera feature off.
  • You can choose to join via computer audio which will require speakers and access to your computer’s microphone
  • You also have the option to dial-in via the phone number listed as well

Downloading- Mobile App

Zoom Cloud Meetings app (available on the App Store)

  • Once you open the app, select Join Meeting using the meeting ID

​

  • You will have the option to join via video or choose to only use the audio function

Dial-in Only Option

You can join a Zoom meeting using a traditional phone. This is useful when:

  • you do not have a microphone or speaker on your PC/Mac
  • you do not have a smartphone (iOS or Android) while on the road, or
  • you cannot connect to a network for video

The dial-in number will be listed in the event details section of your Google Calendar invite. Simply dial the number enter your meeting id and participant id (both can be found in the event details as well).
