• Accommodations and food service industry accounts for the state’s largest small business and overall employer�

COVID-19 Impacts

• Over 23,000 businesses tapped $3 billion in federal aid
• In June 2020, a total of 151 Hawaiʻi residents and businesses filed for bankruptcy

• Use the AAEF submission form to share your proposal sketch
• Use the AAEF self-assessment tool to see how your proposal idea aligns with AAEF

Timeframe

• Proposal sketches we are highlighting have been submitted prior to this meeting
• Other proposal sketches can be submitted through July 26, 2020

• Using your favorite web browser, go to ainaalohafutures.consider.it
• Create a “Login” at the top right of your screen.
• Select “Create an account” on the bottom of the screen.
• Fill in your email, name, password
• Find the section labeled “Practice Example”
• Click on the sample question
• Click on “Review this proposal sketch” to see the proposal sketches.
• Click “Give Your Opinion”
• Drag the slider to your desired “disagree” ↔ “agree” status
• Write your own “pros” or “cons” or support already existing pros and cons by dragging them into the dotted area.
• Experiment with leaving a comment on someone else’s “pro” or “con.”
• Experiment with changing your opinion.
