What is Digital Citizenship?

Digital Citizenship is the norms for appropriate and responsible use of technology in and out of the classroom.

Digital Citizenship equips students with behavior and expectations which will help them behave appropriately in the digital world and digital classroom.

Digital Literacy

What is it?

  • The ability for students to use technology appropriately to create, evaluate, collaborate, and share.

How do you teach it?

  • Teaching students basic computer skills appropriate by grade level.

Digital Etiquette

What is it?

  • Ways of conducting oneself in a digital environment
  • Teaching students online manners, respect, and courtesy.

How do you teach it?

  • Teaching students accountable talk when online
  • Teaching students about cyberbullying.
  • Having parents and students sign contracts for online behavior in the beginning of the year

What is it?
