A goal of mine each year is to bring every family into my
classroom---- due to so many working parents this isn’t
physically possible, but with using online portfolios, this goal can
be virtually met!

Student portfolios are also a great way to add announcements, posts, study guides. This is different from adding to a website or email because its an open forum in which parents can comment and ask questions .

So positive!
Encouraging!

Parents feel involved in their child's everyday life at school, even when they can’t be there! They know what’s going on and can interact with children giving positive feedback.

There are a lot of options to choose from, ones I’ve heard from or used are:
SeeSaw…… ClassDojo…...FreshGrade...Bloomz
Every one works about the same--- students are added, parents are sent directions to add…. Parents see only their child’s work… parents can respond and students can see responses.
