CIP Priority Area 1: Tier 1 Instruction
Strategy 1: If students are provided with additional opportunities to engage with targeted, research-based T1 curriculum, then students will have practice with skills at their readiness levels to improve engagement and learning outcomes.

CIP Priority Area 1: Tier 1 Instruction
S.M.A.R.T. GOAL: By June 2023, student achievement will improve as reflected in meeting annual growth (ELA and Math: Fall to Spring) or proficiency targets (SAT, AP, Science, Social Studies, World Languages, Related Arts: Spring).

Strategy 2: If high leverage T1 instructional strategies are identified and supported through professional development, then these strategies will be implemented consistently and pervasively to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.

Strategy 3: If academic departments are empowered to set content-specific growth targets and student supports, then teachers will use their content expertise and understanding of Cab student needs to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.

S.M.A.R.T. GOAL: By June 2023, we will implement structures and supports for students and staff which increase student engagement and wellness participation rates by 10% and lower discipline rates by 10% as measured by RAP data, MTSS TFI data, walkthroughs, and surveys (September, January, and June).

Strategy 1: If we support the continual development of our MTSS, diversity, wellness, counseling, and special services teams, then leadership is distributed across the school and students and staff will benefit from a learning climate that includes clear expectations and is positive, structured, orderly, and supportive.

Strategy 2: If we engage in professional development emphasizing systems of supports and early identification of student needs, then staff will be better able to maximize the existing resources and collaborate with one another so that students will be academically successful and display positive behaviors in school.

Strategy 3: If we empower students to engage in building their social, emotional, and behavioral skill sets, then they will be able to better navigate the challenges of adolescent relationships and support one another to promote mental health and wellness across the building.

S.M.A.R.T. GOAL: By June 2023, ALL art majors will implement established protocols for programming and performances that align to the Delaware Standards for Performing Arts as well as promote the legacy of Cab Calloway which will enhance the student art education learning experience.

Strategy 1: If each art department provides a 3-4 year program map that highlights the required courses and electives, then the master schedule, instructional minutes, and staffing resources can be strategically aligned to meet the artistic needs of our students.

Strategy 2: If we engage in professional development, workshops, and art networks, then we will continue to be innovative in offering an art education that is properly align with the National Core Arts Standards and Delaware Standards for Visual and Performing Art.

Strategy 3: If each art area includes a performance/exhibition into at least two experiences (e.g., Winter Showcase and Spring Concerts/exhibitions) that specifically relates to Cab Calloway, then the legacy of Cab Calloway will be commemorated throughout the school year.
