UEF exchange concept - partnership proposal

Building a practical European mobility benefit and connection platform for UEF members across all national sections

Status today

  • UEF France has developed a draft partnership concept with a European home swapping platform
  • The proposed scope is a dedicated UEF tag / club within the platform allowing easy member identification on a map and direct messaging
  • UEF members would be able to find each other, communicate directly with the platform and also share and swap homes with other members of the platform
  • The initiative is now ready to be discussed and co-built with interested national sections

Current platform access &

messaging are free of charge

Context

Original need: members willingness to connect with UEF peers in France and abroad

Main issues: lack of visibility on other UEF members’ location and wishes, accommodation cost in Europe

Project objectives: create a dedicated UEF community in a third-party home exchange platform to:

  • Strengthen cross-border connections, twinning and horizontal communication across the network
  • Reinforce community feeling / shared sense of belonging across Europe and in the association
  • Make accommodation during UEF events and members’ gatherings / meetings more affordable

  • UEF members can log in the platform with their Linkedin account and (required to create an account)

  • National sections upload and maintain up-to-date members’ email list in a dedicated back office space

  • UEF members automatically receive the UEF tag in their profile (see picture)

  • UEF members can identify themselves with filter in the platform and get in touch

  • UEF members can detail in their profile description the type of interaction they are looking for with other members (hosting, visit, discussion, topics of interest, partnerships, twinning etc.)

Next steps

  • Confirm interest from national sections to join the project team or to be kept informed
  • Nominate one national contact point per section and put him/her in contact with Rémi: remi.renaudie@uef.fr
