I assigned the wrong test to my students - how do I switch tests?

  1. Select the student and click Select Action.
  2. If the status is To Be Confirmed, choose Do Not Confirm.—or—
  3. If the status is Testing, choose either Suspend or Terminate:Use Suspend if the student might need to take the test later this term.Use Terminate if you know the student will not need the test later this term. Caution: Terminate removes all responses and potentially blocks students from joining that test for the rest of the term.
  4. Click Select Action > Test Again.
  5. When the status changes to Awaiting Student, assign the correct test.
  6. Have the student sign in again

A student selected the wrong name when logging into the test.

  1. Test status must be Testing in order to terminate. If suspended, select the student and click Select Action, then Test Again.

  3. Click Select Action, choose Terminate.
  4. Let your campus admin know that you had to terminate the test so that the student can be reset to test again.

A student is missing from the Sign-In list or can’t rejoin the session.

The student's status must be Awaiting Student in order to appear. On your Proctor console, select an action depending on the Status:

  • Confirmed: Choose Select Action > Do Not Confirm (you will confirm again later)
  • Testing: Choose Select Action > Suspend
    • Once suspended, choose Select Action > Test Again
  • Suspended: Choose Select Action > Test Again

Ask the student to log in again, and then confirm as usual.

Student zoomed in or out of the screen.

Reset the screen resolution with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + 0 (zero), then close and relaunch the testing app.

On a Chromebook, try Ctrl + to zoom in and Ctrl - to zoom out.

It won’t let me assign accommodations for my students.

Accommodations cannot be assigned until a test has been assigned to your students.

To assign a test:

Click Select Status > All > Assign Test. Select the appropriate test for your students.

The student shows to be Testing or Confirmed, but they still can’t access the test.

Depending on the student’s status, you can select one of the following actions:

  • Confirmed: Choose Select Action > Do Not Confirm (have the student start the login process over, and Confirm again)
  • Testing: Choose Select Action > Suspend
    • Once suspended, choose Select Action > Test Again

I forgot to suspend my students’ tests - will they lose progress?

No, once a session ends, it automatically suspends any tests left open. If you forget to end a session, it will close automatically after a few hours and suspend any tests that are open.
