Young people are the future of our traditional boats; thanks to this atypical medium, we address the themes of inclusion, sustainable development and youth mobility.

We want to promote maritime heritage and traditional sailing and revitalise ageing crews.

We want to create a real, solid group, as well as give visibility, create exchanges, and in the long term, exchange young people with motivated partners.

  • Develop traditional sailing / maritime heritage at European level;
  • To cooperate with the volunteers/professionals of the associations and to co-construct a project useful to each party;
  • Meet the different partners in the different countries;
  • To exchange with partners who do not have the same cultural / pedagogical approach, as we have noticed during our youth exchanges that these vary according to the country / culture;
  • Exchange on the skills and values of each partner;
  • Work on themes: youth, maritime heritage, inclusion, sustainable development;
  • Revitalise ageing crews;
  • To create a traditional sailing group and thus keep solid partners for youth exchanges and maritime events;
  • Create a collaborative digital document (which gathers our exchanges / knowledge / references...) to follow the evolution of the associations.
  • To create a European booklet to value the skills / knowledge of the young people involved in our structures or in the projects.

Some videos are better than words, have a look at them:

  • Youngster between 16 and 24 years old (if the participant is under 18 will be necessary the consensus of the legal representative), with some experience about sailing and/or rowing. Also participants without experience can be selected, but in this case is required strong motivation and some degree of physical aptitude to: sea activities, sports and outdoor activities (there will be many!);
  • Interest in shipbuilding and environment is also a required;
  • Good knowledge of English language is required, but can be substitute with French language (better anyway if both);
  • Knowledge of Castilian (Spanish) and/or Euskera is a plus!

Interest and adaptability to a different cultural environment, plus willingness to share, are must!

Learn about European project, participate in activities in diversity and mixity using an atypical support: the traditional sailing; learning about new and old shipbuilding techniques; engage with other culture, tradition and languages; discover new places; meet new people; becoming a cultural ambassador, etc..
