The Losers (of Losing) Club
Celia, Sofia , Daniel and Jai
Introduction
So who are we and what is the point of this?
The origin of our team name
We were originally going to name ourselves “the Losers Club” from the movie “It”, but then realized it sounded awfully negative. Therefore, as a group we came up with “the Losers of Losing Club”; it means we lose at losing, so we are winners. Our team name emphasizes how ordinary people and possible “losers” like us could create such beautiful artwork!
Our art projects
In this tunnel book project, group work was very important. As a team, we aimed to improve our overall art skills, as well as interaction with people we didn’t quite know.
Every tunnel book you will see on this presentation has been created by perseverance and hard work, and with the help of our group members as a whole!
Theme: Holidays can be beautiful things.
How it is shown: The tunnel book shows how beautiful christmas is, not only physically but also mentally. If you look closely at the dog you can see that it is grinning. The view of the outside through the window is very serene and peaceful. Also during the holidays it kind of seems like all the trouble in the world has stopped for a moment, so I think my project shows that moment of happiness.
Celia
My theme: family will stay by your side, even in times of darkness.
How it is shown
Sofia
Jai
My theme: Nature can be beautiful.
How It Is Shown: When you look at this tunnel book, you see a beach: the ocean, sand, sky, clouds, and seagulls. When we usually see a beach, or snowfall, or another place created by nature, we think it looks beautiful, and with the bright colors of yellow, blue, and orange in this picture, and life shown with the seagulls, we see that nature can be a very beautiful thing.
Daniel
My theme: Satisfaction is never without fault.
Symbolism :
Park - Joyful, Happy, Bright
Wolf on a barren rock overhang- Loneliness over success
Conversely, happiness doesn’t always need success.
Critique
Conclusion
Overall, our group worked together very well. We helped each other and “encouraged” each other as well. We had a splendid experience and our projects turned out great for everyone. We truly are “The Losers of Losing Club”.
Thanks for watching!
