HSEL Overview
The High and Middle School Esports Leagues (HSEL/MSEL) are the largest and longest-operating competitive gaming organization serving high school students and educators.
Our mission is to leverage the power of esports to provide every student gamer with an opportunity to find and pursue their passions through gaming and learning in school.
By integrating esports into the school environment, we provide a platform for students to develop critical skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and resilience.
We strive to create an inclusive community where students thrive academically and socially, using esports as a catalyst for improved attendance, increased engagement, and overall educational success
Create Your Team
1. Create your personal account
High School: https://app.generationesports.com/community/1/join
Middle School: https://app.generationesports.com/community/4/join
2. Skip “Add Your Games”
This step is only required for student accounts.
3. Team Creation will automatically begin
Select “School Official”, then “Create a Team”
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Team name is equivalent to school or esports club name. In a later slide, rosters will be discussed. Rosters indicate specific teams within the overall team name. For example, a rocket league team is considered a roster.
Application Steps
Agree to the community guidelines, then fill in your school’s information on the next page. (If you can not supply a faculty ID, a staff directory will suffice)
Submit!
We make every effort to expedite school team approvals for schools involved in these PL sessions, but please be patient as all schools are approved by our team. Our normal turnaround time is under 24 hours.
Good news – you can still progress your team setup while you wait for approval!
