Definition of translation

Our definitions: communication, connection, essential

Translation is a process that can happen within the same language (intralingual), different languages (interlingual), or even a language and another nonverbal sign system (intersemiotic).

It is the act of transferring the linguistic entities from one language in to their equivalents in to another language.

Translation can gives us a better understanding on what’s being expressed while trying to be as accurate and faithful as possible to the original text.

It can help us connect with people we wouldn’t have opportunities to talk to, understand other cultures and consume media we wouldn’t have managed to understand otherwise.
