SCCP x CSHP Kaiser Speaker Panel

  • Tuesday, Jan 24th at 6PM on ZOOM
  • Learn about Kaiser residencies and clinical pharmacy from current Kaiser clinical pharmacists!
    • Learn about possible job opportunities for pharmacy interns
    • Networking opportunity

SCCP/CSHP Kaiser Panel Co-Curricular Eligibility

  • To be eligible for co-curricular: must develop at least TWO relevant question to the speakers for the open Q&A session. Students that selected ‘YES’ for co-curricular will be randomly selected to ask their question.
    • Before the Q&A session starts, students will have to scan a QR code on the slides and submit their questions
  • Students must ALSO answer 2 professionalism-related questions at the end of the event on the sign-out sheet.

Clinical Research Challenge

  • What?
    • Local competition: teams will be given a piece of literature 72 hours prior to the competition. On the day of the competition, students will answer various MC and T/F questions based on the article.
  • When?
    • Tuesday, February 7th at 6PM in PHS 110/111
    • Sign-ups Deadline: Friday, February 3rd @ 5:00pm__
  • Who?
    • YOU and YOUR FRIENDS! (You do not need to be an SCCP or ACCP member). Group yourselves into 3.
  • Co-Curricular: Self-Awareness (Student Success Seminar)

Pharmacy Mixer

  • When: Tuesday February 21st at 6PM on ZOOM
  • Come meet & network with clinical pharmacists from different fields!
  • Small groups of students will virtually meet and have a conversation with 1 pharmacist for a set amount of time to learn about their role in clinical pharmacy. At the end of each session, each group will move onto the next pharmacist.
    • Opportunity to have an active discussion with clinical pharmacists
    • Limited capacity - priority invitation to all SCCP members
  • Informational brochure on the attending pharmacists will be provided to attendees prior to the event

Executive Board Elections

  • Intent to run deadline: Tuesday, January 10th by 11:59 PM
    • Interested in running? MUST submit an intent to run. May select more than 1 position on Intent to run, but must only indicate 1 position on the application.
  • Application deadline: Friday, January 20th by 11:59 PM
    • Applications are due to s_wong49@u.pacific.edu
    • Historian/webmaster positions are required to submit examples of flyers, FB banners, etc. with their application. Other positions have the option of submitting a PPT with their apps.
  • Election (live speeches): Monday, January 30th at 8:00 PM on Zoom
    • All candidates must virtually give a live 2-3 minutes speech. The speech will be recorded and sent out to SCCP members to vote.
  • Voting poll closes Tuesday, January 31st at 5:00 PM
    • Only SCCP members are allowed to vote
    • Election results announced on the following day.

Requirements to Run:

  • Must be in the Class of 2025
  • Must be a current member of SCCP-Pacific
  • Must currently obtain a 2.7 cumulative GPA and be in good-standing
  • May NOT hold a co-chair position or any other executive board position, including ASP
    • Project managers are eligible to apply

President - Sophia Wong

  • Oversees all function and activities of the organization to ensure compliance with our mission statement
  • Leads general meetings and executive board meetings
  • Maintain communications with faculty advisor and send overview of events every trimester
  • Brainstorm and initiate new events for pharmacy students
  • Collaborate with NCCCP Coordinator of Students and Residents, Dr. Denetclaw, to plan events benefitting pharmacy students
  • Renew student chapter membership with American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP)
  • Collaborate with other board members to write the quarterly newsletter for NCCCP
  • Attend ASP’s Fundraising Week Selection w/ the VP of Fundraising
  • Recruit P1 students and educate pharmacy students on the mission of ACCP
  • Hold consistent meetings with P1 liaisons and provide training

Vice President of Professional Affairs - Phi-Nhat(Bo) Tran

  • Works with the President and the rest of the executive board to plan events and meetings
  • Presides at events and meetings if the President is absent
  • Assists in emailing/communicating with guests speakers or other organizations for collaborations when needed
  • Serves as correspondence between the organization and its members
  • Ensures that the executive board adheres to proposed plans and goals of the organization

Vice President of Membership - Joanne Bamba

  • Plan and organize the Fall and Spring Membership Drives for new and returning SCCP members
  • Track member attendance during SCCP general meetings, events, and ACCP annual meeting
  • In charge of honor cord requirements and qualifications
  • Order and distribute honor cords to P3s
  • Order and distribute graduation stoles to previous executive board members
  • Work alongside Historian/Webmaster to educate P1s about SCCP
  • Coordinate with NCCCP to promote membership and events

Vice President of Fundraising -

Anthony Bao

  • Advertises fundraising week items to students and faculty
  • Ensure orders are collected and sent to the vendor in a timely manner
  • Organize and distribute orders accordingly
  • Contact restaurants to be our fundraisers during our Fundraising Week
  • Develop new fundraising ideas for the next Fundraising Week
  • Attend ASP’s Fundraising Week Selection Meeting with the President
  • The main point of contact regarding fundraising ideas and distributions
  • Works collaboratively with the Treasurer to maintain funds

Treasurer - Tim Shimko

  • Manages & oversees all financial affairs of SCCP
  • Maintains records of expenditures via Google Sheets & compares this against school records
  • Communicates with Office of Student Affairs to process all E-board reimbursements
  • Works alongside VP of Fundraising to collect & track fundraising funds
  • Moderate Zoom Rooms for virtual events
  • Help Set-Up & Clean-Up events

Secretary - Mya Franco

  • Organizes and record meeting minutes for both general and board meetings
  • Books dates/times for SCCP events on ASP calendar
  • Books rooms for SCCP on-campus events
  • Sends meeting minutes and presentations out to P1 and P2 class
  • Works alongside Historian/Webmaster to update SCCP website

Historian/Webmaster - Chiron Tran

  • Responsible for maintaining the website with all updates, events, etc.
  • Takes pictures during all SCCP hosted events and meetings.
  • Helps to manage social media e.g. SCCP Facebook page, Instagram, and website
  • Promotes organization events by creating flyers, banners, posts on social media
  • Takes headshots for the Executive Board
