The course is made up of 7 modules, each of which is delivered through 1 or more sessions.

Foundation skills

All sessions follow the same format

  • Nominated team leader briefs the team - 5 minutes
  • Activity - 40 minutes
  • Personal reflection - 5 minutes
  • Break - 10 minutes

Practical teamwork

The course includes 3 practical sessions

  • A nominated team leader briefing - 5 minutes
  • Team challenge - 30 minutes
  • Teamwork guided evaluation - 10 minutes
  • Reflection - 5 minutes
  • Break - 10 minutes

Project planning

During the course your team will plan a major activity

  • Scope and project definition
  • Preparation of project management plan
  • Completion of project management plan

Ethical leadership

Teams will review scenario based case studies

  • Process driven problem solving
  • Ethical tests that help you know you have done the right thing
  • Legal and policy requirements
  • Facilitated hypotheticals

The exhibition

Each team needs to give a presentation on Sunday that shows:

  • Your team project plan
  • Destination, itinerary, budget, timeframes, etc

And in respect to the course over all ..

  • What your team has learned
  • What your team does well
  • What your team finds challenging
  • What your team will be working on after the course

COVID Safe Protocols

  • Sanitise before meals
  • Wipe down tables before meals
  • Maintain 1.5 metre physical distancing where practical
  • Attempt to keep to team & cabin social bubbles wherever possible
  • Masks available if you feel the need for one
  • Don’t touch other people’s stuff

  • Consent has a legal meaning

Respect

  • Physical contact requires consent
  • Don’t touch personal belongings
  • Not sharing overheard personal conversations
  • Not sharing details of things you have seen
  • Taking and sharing of intimate photos is a crime
