Dear mom,

can you guess where i have ended my world trip? well I am on Easter Island which is in the Pacific ocean over 4000 km away from the south american country of Chile there are stone statues carved over 2000 years ago and some are covering/garding burial platforms. can you believe I have made it all the way to Easter Island? It was always my dream to see one of the three sites! wow did you know that the statues were carved out of hard volcanic rock?I wonder why there are over 600 statues and why it is called Easter Island I have so many questions about Easter Island and the statues.!
