Overview View of how your school is performing

District norms (meeting at 40 percentile)

State Norms (meeting at 50 percentile)

Student Growth percentile (compares student growth to peers across the

nation to determine keep up and catch up growth)

Three separate areas to look at

Reading- 2-12th grade

Math 1st through 12 grade

Early literacy K-1

Star Analytic Data filters

In Star Analytics- further filters can be used to determine better day

*You can use the filters to get more specific data information with grade,

gender, and ethnicity

*You can also compare scores across years to look for trend data

*You can see how many students are included in each group

State Standards Mastery Report

This table will allow you to look at how students are doing on meeting state standards for that particular grade level.

Colors include

Beginning (0–59% mastery), Developing (60–79% mastery), or Secure (80–100% mastery).

This is a good check in to see how students are learning what has been taught or areas that may need to be revisited.

You are also able to see ‘projected mastery’ for students by the end of the year

Growth Proficiency Chart

Scatter plot that lets you quickly look at how students are performing on their student growth proficiency

It will show students in categories

-High growth/high proficiency

-High growth/low proficiency

-Low growth/high proficiency

-Low growth/low proficiency

You can explore individual students more on the Star growth report

Star Record Book

Looks at all tests completed on Students (Cat and CBMs)

Can sort in different ways

Can do comparisons from fall to winter and also Cat to CBM

Can make instructional groups and discover skills to teach within the groups

CBM Data insights

Can be used to look at math and reading CBMs in the following capacity

*Screening rate- how many students are participating

*Proficiency rates (how many students are meeting criteria)

*% moving up (how many students are moving up levels)

Proficiency rates and % moving up can be created for classrooms, schools, and student groups. It can be tracked across years for comparison
