Remix Activity Directions

On slide 3, you’ll find the National Equity Project’s original mindset reflection activity on the left.

On the right, you’ll see space where you can “remix” their activity to support your teacher candidates to apply these mindsets as they design for learners!

Tips:

  • Feel free to add other slides to this deck if you need more space.
  • The speaker notes of slide 3 have the original text of the activity.

When you’re done:

  • If you used Google Slides, make sure the permissions allow all to view, and share a link on the Module 2 discussion forum.
  • If you used Power Point, attach your file to the Module 2 discussion forum.

Marcella’s Remixed Activity

Why:

Before we begin groupwork, we need to understand what makes groupwork actually work. What qualities and attributes do we need to have for it to work.

Step 1: Each student in the group will come up with 4 qualities/attributes of a successful group.

Step 2: They will go around round robin sharing 1 quality/attribute at a time. They can only have at most 4 qualities/attribute at a time.

Step 3: Together they will select 4 qualities/attributes and create a pictorial representation on the jamboard to represent that quality/attribute to present to the whole class.
