Diploma Requirements

*Check you have earned a tech credit in grade 9 or 10.

  • All gr 11 students must take English and Math
  • Students will have 6 electives in gr 11
  • Students need to take two elearning courses (or opt out form needs to be completed)

Co-operative Education

  • Real world, experiential “on the job” training
  • Work in the Georgetown community and earn high school credits
  • Gain valuable work experience in a workplace setting
  • Typically 2 credits: morning co-op (periods 1 and 2) or afternoon co-op (periods 4 and 5) or all day co-op
  • Can earn up to 12 co-op credits in high school
  • Compulsory part of all SHSM programs
