OBSERVATIONS - OLYMPIC SOLIDARITY FUNDS & WORLD TRIATHLON

  • The number of our granted World Programmes were below average considering all Olympic Sports grants in the Tokyo Olympic Quadrennial (2017-2020).
  • Our NFs (NOCs) only benefited from 4 (four) World Programmes: 1. Technical courses for coaches, 2. OS coaches scholarships, 3. OS athlete scholarships, 4. DNSS.
  • No youth development programmes awarded to our NFs.
  • No granted NOC/NF from Oceania in the past 8 (eight) years.
  • Only two (2) Development of the National Sports Structure (DNSS) projects over 8 years.
  • Asia and Americas are the most benefited continents, but there is a huge room for improvements in all regions.
  • OS Scholarships for coaches mainly in America, no trace in Europe, Asia and Oceania, only a few in Africa.
  • OS Scholarships for athletes at various technical levels.
  • Opportunities: refugee athlete support, continental athlete support (continental games), Tripartite Invitational Places (Paris 2024), Universality Places (Dakar 2026)
