How do you promote student choice and reflection in your classroom?

I shared the origin of Petty Wap in my classroom -- how have you shed your shame and had FUN with your content? What was the student response?

I chose to use an XP/levels system in my classroom to encourage and motivate my students. What motivational strategies do you use in your classroom? How do your students respond?

As is the case with all tech integration that we've discussed in Illuminate, start SMALL. Don't feel like you have to "do all of the things" right away. What lesson or unit do you think you could transform into a HyperDoc?

Have you thought about blogging? What's stopping you from sharing your experience with the world?

Twitter is an AH-MAZING resource that teachers can use for connecting and growing as an educator. What are your favorite hashtags to follow? Who should we follow on Twitter to continue to learn, grow, and reflect?

As a kid (and now as a parent!) I loved watching the Magic School Bus and wished Ms. Frizzle's enchanting vehicle was real. Teachers can now channel their inner Ms. Frizzle and take their students to far-off places without leaving their classroom! What's your favorite place to take your students virtually? What tool do you use to do so?

I shared why I flipped my flip in this chapter. Would an "in-class" flip work in your classroom? Why or why not?

There are many variations of the "flipped classroom" - some believe that teachers must be present in the video (through the use of an embedded webcam), others think that the teacher should be writing/drawing on a whiteboard while creating a video, while some believe that using videos from YouTube, CrashCourse, or something similar is perfectly fine! Where do you fall in this discussion? Why?

My students create QR Codes to direct classmates to additional information through Hashtags through History activities and can also create QR Code Scavenger Hunts as part of the "apply" section of their unit HyperDocs. How do your students create QR Codes in your class?

How can you use your Bitmoji in your classroom to encourage and motivate students?

Have you created your own virtual reality? What room/place did you capture?

When I introduced students to Flipgrid, many were very intimidated by the fact that their classmates could see their video responses. To calm their fears, I turned off the feature that allowed their video to be public until they were used to creating video representations of their learning. How have you calmed student fears about sharing their ideas with a wider audience?

I’ve created a class bonus blog with Padlet - have you used Padlet in this capacity?

Have you used BreakoutEDU activities in your classroom? How did it go?

How do you use Google Forms in your classroom?
