Gobar-dhan programme: To harness Bio-waste to generate bioenergy in the form of Biogas available in villages.

SATAT Initiative: “Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation”

New National Biogas and Organic Manure Programme (NNBOMP)–Family type Biogas Plant size ranging from 1m3 to 25m3 per day.

WASTE TO ENERGY PROGRAMME: To promote setting up of projects for recovery of energy in the form of Biogas / BioCNG/Enriched Biogas/ Syngas/Powerfrom urban, industrial and agricultural wastes.

>2500m3 capacity biogas plants

Problem: There is no provision of bio-CNG in small scale biogas generation programmes (Gobar dhan/NNBOMP) instead of having a vast potential collectively.

Reason being non-feasibility of upgradation plant at such scale.

Solution: This issue can be solved by having a mobile biogas upgradation and compression unit at the district or subdistrict level and working out in the following way.

A biogas generator can:

  • Accumulate Biogas for some days to reach a certain level lets say 1000m3.
  • Inform the monitoring office of the area to book the slot for mobile unit and get the gas upgraded and transported to the filling station.

A single mobile unit can serve the purpose for the whole subdistrict this way.
