Arrival & Dismissal

Students Who Ride a Bus to School

  • Please stand at your bus stop 15 minutes before the scheduled pick up time.
  • Stay in your seat at all times
  • Follow the bus driver’s directions
  • When you enter the building, walk to your class

Students who ride a car to school

  • Parents, please label the name and grade of your child(ren) on a sheet of paper, and place it in your car’s front left dashboard
  • In the morning, you will exit your car independently once you see a staff member nearby. Children will open and close their own doors.
  • If you need help, staff will ask your parent to pull up the car. There, your parent can help your exit the car safely.
  • Give a hug and goodbye in the car. Parents and grown ups have to stay in the car.
  • When you enter the building, walk to your class

Students Who Walk

to School

  • Please enter the school through the side gym door with the car riders
  • Remember to wait responsibly until the school doors open at 9am
  • When you enter the building, walk to class

Using the Bathroom & Water Fountains

  • You should bring a reusable water bottle and use the water fountain to refill when you are thirsty
  • Signs are posted in the bathroom with reminders to wash your hands
  • If the bathroom is full, please wait for your turn

Lunch

  • You may bring your own lunch or order lunch from school

  • Raise your hand if you need help.

  • To reduce the number of students in the cafeteria, all friends will have an opportunity to eat outside on a rotating basis by class

Make sure you can open the items in your lunchbox on your own. Remember to practice!

RECESS

*Follow our ROAR rules at all times*

  • We have 3 play areas using the playground, blacktop, and field.
  • Remember to label your jackets and hats
  • For indoor recess, students will play tabletop games or color with their friends

Related Arts

Remember to wear appropriate shoes and clothing

  • Students will have daily related arts
  • Class schedules will be on color days
  • Tip: wear sneakers everyday and leave your library book in your backpack so you’re always ready for related arts!

Whats happens if I feel sick at school?

  • If you are not feeling well, you will visit the nurse’s office
  • A nurse will check your temperature and ask about the problem
  • If you are sick and need to go home, you will wait in a special room until a parent/guardian comes to pick you up.
  • You can return to school once you feel better

  • Practicing healthy habits (hand washing, etc.)
  • Opening and closing my food containers, juice boxes, snack bags, yogurt, for breakfast and lunch by myself

  • Attending a PTA Playdate to meet new friends
