Find something that:

  • Makes a HIGH sound…
  • Makes a LOW sound…
  • Makes LOUD sounds…
  • Makes SOFT sounds…
  • You can SHAKE to make a sound…
  • You can SCRAPE or RUB to make a sound…
  • You can tap that is made out of WOOD…
  • You can tap that is made out of METAL…
  • Extra Challenge: Create a song using one or two “found instruments” you discovered during your hunt!

Performance Time!

Create a musical rhythm performance using one, some, or all of your found sounds.

Recycled or household items can make wonderful instruments! Look at all of the different found sounds you discovered, and think about how they could be used to create a musical performance. Remember to think “outside the box” and look for creative ways to use the different objects for sound. Create a whole performance and invite family members to watch the show.
