วันฮาโลวีนเป็นกิจกรรมสนุก ๆ ในช่วงฤดูใบไม้ร่วงซึ่งตรงกับช่วงกลางคืนของวันที่ 31 ตุลาคม ในทุก ๆ ปี เทศกาลนี้ได้มีการเฉลิมฉลองในหลาย ๆ ประเทศทั่วโลก กลุ่มผู้ใหญ่จะเฉลิมฉลองด้วยการจัดปาร์ตี้แต่งตัวชุดแฟนซี ตามรอยเรื่องสยองขวัญ เล่นบ้านผีสิง และดูหนังสยองขวัญในวันฮาโลวีน ส่วนเด็ก ๆ จะชอบแกะสลักฟักทองให้เป็นโคมไฟ เล่าเรื่องสยองขวัญ แต่งตัวตามหนังสยองขวัญและไปยังตามบ้านต่าง ๆ และพูดกับเจ้าของบ้านว่า “หลอกหรือเลี้ยง” เพื่อขอขนม หรือลูกอม คนส่วนใหญ่มักจะแต่งตัวให้เหมือนผี แม่มด แวมไพร์ โครงกระดูก มนุษย์หมาป่า หรืออะไรที่น่ากลัว ๆ ในวันฮาโลวีน
