Hello!
My name is Sam Saltonstall, and I put this slideshow together. I am a member of the Bath-Brunswick Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby. With your help, I would be delighted to customize a similar version of it for your town. We could work together remotely as you view the changes being made on your computer in real time as we speak on the phone. I would make the changes, just to keep things moving along - I have done a number of slide presentations and am pretty familiar the process. You could choose pictures you feel would be appropriate for the first and last slides of the show, and of course we would change the town’s name. If you have questions about the presenter’s notes, I could answer those too. This show is small enough that you can attach it as a PDF file to an email, another way of sharing it.
If you prefer to work on your own, that’s fine too. Just let me know and I will email you a copy for your own use. Here’s my contact information:

Important: Please do not try to make any changes to this slide deck. It’s posted on the website so that people can get an idea of the finished product. If we revise the slideshow for your town, we will make a copy of this one to work from, so that this one can remain unchanged on the website. Thanks, and I look forward to being in touch!
Let’s pass a West Bath Resolution

4 reasons
to support
“Carbon Cashback”
Fossil fuels pollute, cause harmful warming, & threaten West Bath’s future
The growing fee on fossil fuels will quickly reduce their use
Energy producers and consumers will move to cleaner, cheaper energy sources, ensuring better health and a strong economy
The returned money will mean fairness for low and middle income people
Climate disruption has local consequences but requires action on a national scale.
heat
flooding and sea level rise
disease
drought
How does Carbon Cashback work?
A fee on fossil fuels starts low and grows steadily over the coming decades. As a result, Americans move to cleaner, cheaper options.
The funds collected are returned monthly in equal amounts to the American people. The government does not keep any of the money.
To protect U.S. jobs and manufacturers, there can be a border fee on carbon intensive goods to ensure American competitiveness.
