Student ID Badges

1. Please have your badge on and visible- not on your backpack.
2. Please don’t cover your face on your ID.
3. If you forgot your badge you will need to get a wristband from the Lawson Cafe in the morning.
4. After you have received 3 wristbands and need another one, you will serve lunch detention which will include wiping tables, taking out the trash or picking up trash outside.
5. If you have lost your badge please see Mrs. Ericson in the office for a replacement badge. The first one is free, each additional badge is 5 dollars.
6. At the end of the day when you hear the announcement take off your badge and put it in your backpack for the next day!

After each assembly there will be a goal. Your monthly goal is:

Attention 6th Graders

Your class needs to design a Viking Shield to hang in the Cafeteria. Please draw one, digitally design one or color a premade shield. Turn them into the counseling office before October 16th.

The only criteria is that your “Class of 2032” must be on the shield.

Once they’ve all been submitted you will get a chance to vote on one winner and it will be put on a poster to hang in the cafeteria!

SAFETY COUNCIL

Safety Council is in need of a few more members. Applications will be available next Monday - October 13th.

They are due Thursday October 23rd. You will be notified of approval/denial the following week.

DO YOU WANT TO DO RECYCLING CORRECTLY?????

One way you can help is by NOT putting paper with:

• GLUE
• TAPE
• STICKERS
• or GLITTER in the recycling bins

And more!!! Here are some reasons why!

• Items like glue, tape, glitter, etc. contaminate the entire paper recycling process.

​

• Instead, we should throw paper with contaminants in the trash.

​

• One item recycled means there is one less item that could potentially pollute our environment.

This is just one reason why we need to recycle and strive to do it correctly.
