We studied the work of Joseph Cornell, an artist known for creating magical worlds inside assemblage boxes. We read “The Amazing Collection of Joey Cornell” by Candace Fleming and “Mr. Cornell’s Dream Boxes” by Jeanette Winter. We practiced layering, decoupage and sculpting to create magical mixed-media installation boxes.
