What is the purpose of the Monthly Data Snapshot?��The Data Snapshot is a summary of key districtwide data, updated monthly, that central office leadership and staff members can use for decision-making. It is designed to ensure that everyone is looking at the same data for the same period of time, in a way that supports meeting the holistic needs of students.

What’s new this month?

Q4 course mark data is available in this snapshot.
Student Well-Being Survey data is now available, with Spring window data.
Student attendance, climate, staff attendance, and dropout data through end of June are available in this snapshot.
The Philly School Experience Survey for 23-24 closed on 6/14. We have a slide tracking final participation counts for students, parents/guardians, and teachers.

Additional Data Notes

Academic Screener data is available, with data from the Spring assessment cycle. We’ve also changed how we display English Learner data for academic screeners, disaggregating students by EL Level, as well as providing a details table for that data.
College and Career Readiness data continues to appear in the snapshot, to help schools understand the impact of data in Naviance on their performance on the Future Ready Index. Grades 5, 8, and 11 are the monitored years for state metrics.
SY 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 are the comparison years for Attendance and Climate metrics.

Please be aware that these are 100% participation metrics: a student in 3rd grade is expected to have two College & Career Readiness artifacts, while a student in 5th grade is expected to have six (two from 3rd grade, two from 4th grade, and two from 5th grade). This metric is all-or-nothing, so if a student in 5th grade has only 5 artifacts, they do not meet the standard and would not be represented in the bar chart.
