Approved Core Courses

  • Courses must be approved core courses in order for them to count toward your NCAA Eligibility
    • Only courses in the curriculum areas of English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and World Language can be approved core courses
    • However, NOT ALL courses in these areas are approved!

  • Check the list of approved courses for Pennsbury by visiting the Eligibility Center website, choosing

then scrolling down to “Find your core courses” listed under resources. You will then be

asked to enter your CEEB code- the CEEB code for Pennsbury is 395415

  • Use these worksheets to calculate your core course GPA- remember this is different from the GPA on your Pennsbury transcript!
  • Refer to list of approved courses and your Pennsbury transcript

How to Calculate…

  • Enter approved courses with final grade and credit (from approved course list!) into the worksheet in the corresponding curricular area

  • When to register?
    • Typically end of junior year
    • We (PHS) send an initial transcript after we have final junior year grades (beginning of senior year) and final transcript upon graduation
    • Official transcripts must be sent from EACH HIGH SCHOOL ATTENDED!
    • Must have a certification account before you take an official visit
    • Consider the fee!

Amateurism Certification

  • Can complete this step on or after April 1st of senior year of HS if enrolling in the fall
  • Must have a certification account
  • Amateurism certification will be listed as a task in your account
