Shan Xiao Zhan
━━━━━━━♔━━━━━━━
Age nineteen
Personality
When Shan Xiao Zhan was a child, he was more of a introvert, didn’t talk or communicate much with kids his age, never made any friends, only burying his head in training sessions, hours and hours. But after the program and the last two years he spent to learn about manners before going to OUH changed him completely. He was now the perfect successor that Shan Yu had always wanted. He grew up just like his father. Xiao Zhan was ruthless and merciless, even to defenceless individuals. He was not above killing his enemies in cold blood to prove his strength and he had been shown to make jokes about it. Despite his brutality, or probably because of it, he was respected inside the Huns army and had shown talents in leadership. But he also had another side of himself, the side that he was specially trained for, the side that he usually showed other people. Polite, charming, a true gentleman. His face was very deceiving and people often looked down on him for his appearance. He was a strategic person and before he made any important decisions he always thought carefully about them, weighing the pros and the cons to find the best solution. He was self centred and although he pretended to care about other people, he actually didn’t mind about them as all. They all looked like shiny little pawns in his chessboard. He was incapable of loving, as he looked at others as objects, not humans. He was a sly and cunning man with major trust issues, something that formed inside of him because of the program. He was unpredictable. Xiao Zhan was also someone who was persuasive with his words and tended to manipulate innocent people to do his dirty works for him. But on occasions, he wouldn’t mind getting his gloves covered with blood. He of course, would show his respect to people who he thought deserved it. This was a little unexpected, but he didn’t underestimate women, because he had witnessed many great and powerful females soldiers in the Huns army. The only people he would probably care about were Shan Yu because he held great respect for him and his unknown mother and brother.
Biography
Shan Xiao Zhan was raised in the coldest place in Mongolia located in Central Asia by his father, Shan Yu. He had never met or heard of his mother before, and the women he knew and respected were the females soldiers in his father’s army. Because of the climate where he lived, Xiao Zhan had pale white skin and hair as dark as the night sky. He was very tall, just like his father, but he inherited his mother’s

...beauty. From such a young age, he had went through hardcore training in combat techniques, using weapons and survival skills. He was extremely talented with horse riding and archery. Shan Yu invested a lot in him, expected him to be the perfect successor. His father didn’t show him love though, as he treated Xiao Zhan like one of his true soldiers, but that was already enough for him. Everything went smoothly for him, even though the trainings were hard, they were still bearable for him. But when he was thirteen, Xiao Zhan was sent up high into the mountains, to participate in a training program that was held in a secret facility. He saw the soldiers’ children and a lot more which he didn’t know who their parents were. The first day he was there, the guards showed him an enormous room that consisted hundreds of beds and the children were allowed to sleep there for the night. At dinner, they were given delicious meals, meals that Xiao Zhan wasn’t allowed to eat before due to the survival training his father gave him. That night when he went to bed, the sheets were clean, the pillows were soft and the blankets were warm, but there was something in his head, screaming that things couldn’t be this easy. And he was right. The next morning when they woke up, the door was locked and there weren’t any ways out. No windows, no gas vents, nothing. At first, the children teamed up and tried to break down the door, hoping that it was just some silly challenge. It was a challenge. Just a dangerous one. He didn’t know what that door was made of but it seemed like even a canon couldn’t bust it opened. The children just sat there and waited and waited, but it seemed like no one on the other side of the door was willing to let them go. They didn’t even give them something to eat or drinks. After three days, when a kid found a knife under his bed, and so was everyone else in the room, Xiao Zhan finally had a brief idea of what they wanted them to do. And the things that happened after, it was exactly what he had imagined.
Let’s not describe the details, rather just summarized them with a few words: hunger, thirst, blood, cannibalism and insanity. Xiao Zhan promised to himself that he wouldn’t tell anyone what he saw that day and what he had done. He was one of the children who survived and when he came out of that room, he looked like a walking skeleton. The program ended when he reached seventeen and he had survived challenges that were even harder than the first one. But the experience changed him completely. He spent the next two years learning how to be a real gentleman because Shan Yu didn’t want people to look at him like some kind of savages. He then received his letter to go to OUH when he for the first time in his life knew that he had a younger brother and he would meet then at the academy.
