Software contributions

Dell contracted a firm developing MCU firmware for:

  • Thermal test fixture – to be submitted for IC mtg review
      • Thanks to NVIDIA, Intel, Marvell for their testing help
  • LED test fixture – beta code, board requires revision
  • Systems mgmt test fixture – beta code

PCIe Gen6 support

  • Analysis from Amphenol & TE shows reasonable confidence in SFF-TA-1002 connector continue to be capable to support PCIe Gen6
  • We plan to align with SFF-TA-1002 if it meets the OCP-NIC criteria. Meta rep will follow up on next steps on review/analysis by 6/9.
  • Propose to keep the same insertion loss -7.0dB for NIC at Gen6 (same as Gen5) on SFF/TSFF
