Teachers: Pick any multiple choice set you want. I chose two passages for a total of 21 questions (I went out of my way to pick the first passage to be one of the harder ones we do in class). Students were put into five groups (though it can be done with less groups - I just had five horses after I claimed one for myself). The race horses I used were printed out onto cardstock from a image I found on Google Images. I glued the horses to a magnet to let them stick to the white board. This can be done with just a plain magnet as a race marker. I doubled the required slots for me to win.

Students had time to read the passage and then we did each question one at a time. Students picked their answer and put it on a small white board. Once time was up, they held up their answers. Those who got it correct moved their horse up one slot.

Alternative rules - groups work at their own pace and bring up the answer to me one at a time. This cuts down on conversation about each question, but does put a more frantic time-based stressed on the game.
