Im making it kiwiana by carving in a Maori design into the front and might incorporate some paua.

i would have to make it smaller and it would be hard to guess the measurements.I think its a cool idea though but the mirror would be hard to make.

This would be nice and has good use. i would make some designs to personalise it better.

It might be hard to engrave what message i want. this would be good decoration and pretty quick to make.

Idk what to use to make the half circle curves and i would need marbles. unless i use little pieces of something else.

Its abit boring but could be fun i could to designs on the pieces.

i’ll be making a jewellery box like this one with light to medium colour wood. I do want different compartments. I also want to put the mirror in like on the picture.

I want to have a part of my box to keep my rings like this.

My kiwiana jewellery box

How to use:

  • you can store your jewelry like necklaces, rings, bracelets and more.
  • you could also store any small or valuable items.
  • you can use the mirror on the lid for makeup or to look at your scrumptious self.

Safety:

  • there's not much safety rules for the jewellery box but just don't throw it at someone cause that will hurt.

Drill press

Safety:

  1. Always have worked hold by clamps
  2. Remove wood chips with a brush never your hand
  3. Use the proper cutting fluid for the material being used

Uses:

  1. Cuts holes into your wood

Band saw

Safety:

  1. Adjust blade guard to be as close as possible to what your cutting.
  2. Keep fingers away from the blade.
  3. Use a push stick to move wood pieces away.

Uses:

  1. Cuts through wood accurately and straight.

Disc/Belt sander

Safety:

  1. Wear proper eye and hearing protection.
  2. Disconnect the power supply before changing the sanding belt
  3. Keep fingers clear.

Uses:

  1. To sand down rough wood or to slightly shape your wood.

Scroll saw:

Safety:

  1. Keep hands away from blade and cutting area
  2. Use the machine to only cut wood
  3. Insure there are no items that shouldn't be there.

Uses:

  1. cut inaccurate curves in wood.
