What is the Greater New Haven Community Wellbeing Index (CWI)?

The CWI tracks current trends in well-being, equity, and quality of life in New Haven and the state. Additionally, the CWI supports health department and hospital needs assessments. The report uses data from many federal, state, and local sources, including from:

  • Census Bureau
  • State agencies
  • DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey, which interviews thousands of randomly-selected adults
  • Data from hospital visits

The report was previously published in 2013, 2016, and 2019. Find it on on the DataHaven website, along with many other reports about the city and state: https://www.ctdatahaven.org/reports.
