Billing at URI

  • URI invoices students electronically (no paper bills)

  • Fall semester e-Bills are available to pay in mid-July and payment is due September 1st

  • Spring semester e-Bills are available in mid-December with payment due in late January

  • The e-Bill includes costs for tuition, fees, and housing/meal plan charges for students living on campus

  • The balance due = costs minus any financial aid

Payment Plansweb.uri.edu/tuition-billing(click on: Pay Your Bill)

  • URI offers a monthly payment plan for families wishing to budget their term bill expenses into monthly installments.

  • The plan allows term bill expenses for each semester to be paid in 5, 4, or 3 installments depending on the time of plan enrollment. There is a $25 enrollment fee for each semester plan.

  • The 5-month plan must be set up on or before June 1. The 4-month plan must be set up on or before July 1. The 3-month plan must be set up on or before August 1.

  • Plans will be available for enrollment in mid-May.

  • A student’s actual Fall charges won’t be available to view until mid-July, so payment plan budgets should be set up using estimated costs minus financial aid. Once the Fall bill has been posted, payment plan adjustments can be made online if the budgeted amount needs to be increased or reduced.
