DESIGN NORTH STAR

Colorful romantic garden — with a collected, backyard-dinner-party soul

This wedding should feel warm, personal, and a little unexpected: pastel without being pale, elegant without being stiff, and layered with candlelight, glass, texture, and food that invites people to linger.

The Juliana gives us the exact ingredients this design wants: indoor/outdoor flow, warm string lights, garden texture, a glassy neutral shell, and the Milk Truck as a natural bar focal point.

Planning anchor: 75 guests · ceremony 5:30 · cocktail 6–7 · reception 7 · pizza buffet 7:15 · late night nachos 9 · strike 11–12

CEREMONY PREVIEW

Soft drape + aisle flowers do the heavy lifting

The ceremony should stay airy and emotional: ivory swagged draping at the doorway/arch, colorful low aisle arrangements, and personal flowers carrying the strongest color story.

Design notes

• 1 arch draping

• 10 low lush mixed-bloom arrangements

• Aisle pieces transition after ceremony

• Bouquets become reception styling after portraits

Open: confirm rehearsal access, reserved family rows, song selections, and final family photo list.

Cocktail Hour

6:00–7:00 PM · drinks, passed apps, music, photos, and guest flow into the reception experience.

Bar plan: primary service through the Milk Truck, with a possible second bar service area TBD. Confirm alcohol menu, ice/cups/garnishes, specialty cocktails, and whether any items are client-provided.

Dinner mood: pizza spread, but make it romantic.

The dinner can feel abundant and styled rather than casual: wood boards, elevated disposables, florals pulled through the buffet, candlelight, and a clear guest flow from cocktail hour into dinner.

Timeline: buffet opens at 7:15 PM. Current working note says Slab & Spice handles set-out/refill; Chef Mary’s team is also referenced for cake service. Confirm final owner for pizza, buffet linen, disposables, cake plates/forks, and bussing.

Reception tables should feel collected, not matched.

Long tables: 9 ceremony aisle arrangements transition to the rectangle tables, supported by bud vases, lamps, tapers, floating/pillar candles, napkins, and mixed colored glass. Cocktail tables receive linen + bud vase moments.

Complimentary décor access: table lamp candles, LED tapers + holders, bud vases, floral pots, floating and pillar candles, signage, welcome/selfie mirror, greenery wall, green velvet couch, accent tables, dessert stands, frames, baskets, and more.
