Let’s tear it down

Website flow

The Good – Highlights the user base and operating cities clearly, with a standout image and cohesive background theme.

The not so good - Featuring a Pulsar might not appeal to older users who prefer mopeds. Since 45% of Indians still favor mopeds, testing images of both could help gauge user preferences.

Suggestion – Instead of “Download App” you can try with “Book your first ride” call out or something like get 10% of your first ride

Rapdio has expanded to multiple categories like Cab ride, Auto which has not been showcased

Website flow

The Good – Showcasing empathy to the users

The not so good – It lacks details on the safety measures in place, which makes it hard for me to trust the service.

Suggestion –All images show male drivers. Including a female driver could build trust with female users.

Adding safety numbers or the reporting process would further reassure users.

Website flow

The Good – Trust mark via user base stands out with total rides completed so far

The not so good – The first image of two Rapido drivers doesn’t give me a reason to download the app

I still have no information on which cities Rapido operates in—this is missing.

Suggestion – Showcase clearly over which cities Rapido is operating

Instead of Rapido driver images user images for auto & Cab pick up

5 of 19

Website flow

The Good –

The not so good - No progressive disclosure—it's repetitive content. I want to know which cities or states you're available in so I can decide whether to download the app.

6 of 19

Website flow

The Good – The main pointers stands out as it covers most of the need of a user

The not so good – No callout over why I should choose Rapido over Uber or Ola

The Suggestion – Callouts should include more specific numbers, like how much a user can save with affordability and how quickly they can get a ride. Also, Rapido Pass hasn't been mentioned throughout the entire flow.

7 of 19

Mobile App flow

The Good – Organically over keyword Rapido is coming with 4.8 Star rating.First image stands out well with great call out & showcasing all the servicesOver Rides section it has not mentioned the charges are for how many Kilometer

The not so good – A Brand video is missing out Competitors are coming on top via ads

The Suggestion – Add a video along with a image of a user getting there ride

8 of 19

Mobile App flow

The Good – Effectively uses progressive disclosure to highlight safety, insurance, monetary benefits, and the emergency contact option

The not so good – Rapido's partnership with Acko Insurance hasn't been highlighted yet. Also, for direct payments, only UPI and PhonePe options are visible, and other payment aggregators aren't shown.

The Suggestion –

Onboarding App flow

The Good – Made in India trust mark is well presented, Login via True caller is amazingly done

The not so good – No callout about the app or even a tagline over what can I expect from the app

Suggestion – Adding an image showcasing book a ride for your favourite destination with just a single tap, get X percent off on your firs ride , etc or you can add a brand story image

11 of 19

Onboarding App flow

The Good – The form is streamlined with minimal input needed from the user.

The not so good – Requesting too many permissions right at the start makes me uneasy before I've even had a chance to try the app.

Suggestion – Location access should be requested when the user interacts with the relevant option in the app interface, and notification access can be prompted after the ride is completed.

12 of 19

Onboarding App flow

The Good – Displaying real-time nearby rides and recent locations is impressively well-executed, and all services are showcased effectively without cluttering the app.

The not so good – It's showing my current location for pickup, but how can I be sure it's accurate?

Suggestion – For pickup, display the exact current location address to ensure accuracy.

13 of 19

Onboarding App flow

The Good – Everything over the app is clearly visible along with pricing along with scheduling option

The not so good – The distance isn't shown after selecting the ride, so how can I tell if the price is fair?

Scheduling is only allowed up to 2 days in advance.

After booking, the app requests permission to track activity across my phone's apps—why is that necessary?

I don’t have a preference to select if I want a male/female driver which a lot of users have complained about

Suggestion – Include the distance in kilometer's for the selected destination, personalize timing availability instead of providing a broad range, and remove the request for access to track other apps.

An option should be provided for user to select their driver preference

Onboarding App flow

The Good -The positive aspects include receiving a notification immediately after booking the ride, which is great. Additionally, there's a loading indicator (Labor Effect) that shows Rapido is actively searching for rides.

The not so good – The drawbacks are that I can only see driver ratings without insight into past user experiences.

Also, when booking rides, some bikes are listed only as electric or Pulsar without model details, and the bike condition is unclear, as past reviews often mention poor conditions.

Suggestion –Past reviews should be accessible for users to read. The bike’s image should be displayed alongside the profile picture as a sliding image, and more detailed information about the bike model should be provided. Along with how many rides he/she has completed in the past.

Onboarding App flow

The Good - The app allows you to contact the driver via text or call, which is excellent, and also sends a notification when your ride begins.

The not so good – The ride insurance is noted only briefly at the end but should be more prominently highlighted. Additionally, helmets are often damaged, and there are frequent complaints about drivers' rash driving.

Suggestion - "Your ride is insured" callout should be prominently highlighted.

Helmets provided by drivers should be checked daily upon app login, or the team should supply helmets to the drivers.

16 of 19

Onboarding App flow

The Good - The safety toolkit is well-highlighted with all available options, and you can track the remaining minutes in real-time.

The not so good – The drop-off time is missing, and the UPI payment option, which is a common payment method, is not displayed.

Suggestion – Real time drop off time should be showcased along with pay through UPI mode

17 of 19

Onboarding App flow

The Good -

The not so good – After payment, the app immediately asks if the vehicle details match, but the rider's primary concern is whether the overall experience was satisfactory.

Suggestion – Driver review form should come first

18 of 19

Onboarding App flow

The Good - The callout varies based on the rating, which is effective. Additionally, receiving frequent review prompts based on the rating makes the process more convenient.

The not so good –Currently, users who give a 5-star rating are unable to leave a detailed review and only receive a standard “thank you” notification. To enhance user satisfaction, we should improve this process to make users feel their feedback is valued. Additionally, the app prompts users for a rating immediately after the review, without first confirming if their experience was satisfactory.

Suggestion –Reviews should be considered regardless of the rating. For 5-star reviews, the callout should be, “We value your feedback.” App reviews should only be solicited from users who have given a 5-star rating.

Rapido Pass App flow

The Good - Details are clearly mentioned

The not so good –The benefits of the pass were not emphasized after the user’s journey is complete. Rapido should promote this aspect more effectively. Additionally, the potential savings from the pass should be clearly highlighted to better communicate its value.

Suggestion –Callout should be X amount of money you can save by this pass at Y amount of trips
