How is our Class is set up?

  • All work is posted to Google Classroom and can be found on our agenda
  • Each agenda is a block of 2 or 3 weeks
  • Links to all Do Nows and Classwork can be found in the agenda
  • Homework is turned in through Google Classroom
  • All grades are posted regularly on Synergy.sfusd.edu
  • This is a rigorous class, we learn a new topic most days

What is the grade break down?

50% Classwork

  • Do Nows and Exit Tickets on Google Form or Desmos
  • Mostly Desmos.com Activities
  • Google Doc or PDF worksheet: students can take a picture of their work and upload to Google Classroom

20% Assessments

  • Quizzes and Tests: could be Google Form, Desmos, Google Doc etc.

20% Homework

  • Mostly a PDF worksheet or Google Doc: students take a picture of their work and upload to Google Classroom

10%Digital Journal

  • Google Doc: students write about math concepts or check-ins on their progress.
  • There will be 2-4 Journal entries each grading period

How is the semester grade calculated?

There are three grading periods.

GP1 ends 9/25 GP2 ends 11/6 GP3 ends 12/8

We are waiting on the district to determine if there will be final exams.

​

Without Final Exams the semester grade will be an average of the grading periods

​

With Final Exams the semester grade will be a combination of the GP % grades and the Final Exam % grade
