When we look at numbers over the last 3 months

  • we lose 21% of our users when they need to open the add class dialog
  • we lose 10% of our remaining users when they have to click on the button to actually create a class
  • we lose 23% of our remaining users when they need to open the add students dialog
  • we lose 26% of our remaining users before they become active users

3 steps are particularly problematic

  • open the create a class dialog
  • open the add student dialog
  • becoming an active teacher

What are our hypothesis?

  • We have some but would like to hear yours :)

Mobile onboarding

funnel description

  • the first form is long and we don’t use some information like the question asking where they hear about Lalilo
  • when the first form is filled we ask the user to continue his.her account creation on desktop
  • we offer him.her to send a reminder to do it
  • we didn’t manage to analyse if the reminder is efficient
  • user can also continue on mobile with a small button on the last page

When we look at numbers between September and February

  • we lose 59% of our users when they need to open the add class dialog
  • we lose 12% of our remaining users when they have to click on the button to actually create a class
  • we lose 18% of our remaining users when they need to open the add students dialog
  • we lose 53% of our remaining users before they become active users

When we look at the last 3 months, results are better overall but some steps are more painful (adding students for example)

  • we lose 39% of our users when they need to open the add class dialog
  • we lose 20% of our remaining users when they need to create a class
  • we lose 26% of our remaining users when they need to open the add students dialog
  • we lose 40% of our remaining users before they become active users

Mobile onboarding

analysis

IF we look at users using ONLY the mobile to finish their onboarding, we manage to onboard only 5% of them and we lose most of them at the 2nd step (open add class dialog) and the 3rd one (create a class)

Mobile onboarding

analysis

Today we ask the user if he.she wants to be reminded to finish the onboarding on mobile

Regarding this reminder

  • 47% of users click on the reminder and only 40% of them will open a class dialog
  • 46% of users opening a class dialog clicked on the reminder, we don’t know if it’s the reminder that made them come back and finish their onboarding
  • By forcing the reminder, we could increase the # of users coming back.

Mobile onboarding

analysis

2 steps are particularly problematic

  • open the create a class dialog (which means continuing the onboarding from mobile to desktop)
  • becoming an active teacher

1 step isn’t tracked

  • we don’t know how many users are arriving on the sign-up page and give up because we ask too many information

What are our hypothesis?

  • We have some but would like to hear yours :)
