Graduation Requirements

  • 4 years of English
  • 4 years of Math
  • 3 years of Science including Biology & Physical Science
  • 3 years of Social Studies including World History & US History
  • 1 year of Wellness (freshman year) *
  • 3 semesters of Wellness (one per year) *
  • 4 credits in either a Fine and/or Practical Art
  • 2 credits in a Computer Course
  • 40 Hours of Community Service (suggested 10 hours per year)
  • Complete 96 Total Credits to Graduate

Foreign language not required for graduation, but is strongly recommended for admission to 4 year colleges.

* CTE students will satisfy the wellness requirements in shop.

Course Selection Quick Reference

  1. Log onto your Powerschool account, click “Class Registration” on the left side.
  2. Teacher recommendations and comments will be at the top and the subjects are listed below
  3. To register for a class, click on the pencil
  4. Click on the box next to the class your teacher has recommended for you, then click “Okay”. (NOTE: If there is a discrepancy with the class available, please speak to your teacher)
  5. NOTICE: As you check off classes your teachers have recommended, the credit amount increases. You must reach a total of 28 credits.
  6. Selecting Electives: Bolded electives indicate your teacher suggests you sign up for the class (ex. Spanish 1 teacher has recommended Spanish 2 for next year.)
  7. Once you’ve requested 28 credits, YOU MUST CLICK SUBMIT

8. After you submit all courses, double check your selection and ensure you have

signed up for 28 credits

9. FINALLY, complete the Alternate Elective Google Form that was

emailed to you

7. Once you’ve requested 28 credits,

YOU MUST CLICK SUBMIT.

8. After you click SUBMIT, double check your selections and ensure you have requested 28 credits.

If you made a mistake, NO WORRIES! Just click on “Class Registration” again to edit your requests. Don’t forget to hit SUBMIT again if you made any changes :)

9. Once you’ve submitted your course requests…….

You MUST select

three Alternative Elective courses via the Google Form that will emailed to your Silver Lake account on Friday!

You CANNOT sign up for Directed Studies
