• Read TO your child (even rising 5th graders!!) Great opportunity to build EMPATHY and discuss social issues in the book!!

• Use Audiobooks!! Free from the public library.

​

• Check out Award Winning Lists, VRC, and VA READS.
• ALSC Summer Reading Lists (by grade level)
• Use Brightly and imagination soup to find great titles for your reader.

​

• Use the public library! It’s is such an amazing resource in our community.

​

• Be a role model reader!!

​

• Make reading ENJOYABLE and stress free as possible!
