The earliest starting point of the HHFO was taken from this 287-year-old record at the Old Brick Reformed Church in Marlboro, New Jersey. It is the christening record for Henry’s younger brother, Albert. The parents named in the record are Hendrick Hendrickson and Aeltje Couwenhoven.

  • The new starting point for the Hendricks(on) family is Hendrick Willemsz.
  • So far, this is the earliest document dated on the 14th day of September 1677 showing the mark H W of Heyndrick Willemsz van Barnevelt, made with his own hand.
  • The more we learn about Hendrick Willemsz of Albany the better chance we have of trying to determine just who his parents are. [DelLynn Leavitt]
  • Our joint efforts between the east coast Hendricks(on)s and the Henry Hendricks Family Organization will open up new research lines to tie our family to our early Dutch ancestors.
