Applying for dual credit:

• Website:
• louisville.edu, click “Apply”
• Then click “Undergraduate Admissions”

• Scroll down until you see “Applicant Types”

Creating your application account:

• Do’s and Dont’s

• DO use a personal email address
• DON’T use a parent’s or a school email address

​

• DO use your legal name

(You can add a preferred name later)

​

• DO make sure your birthdate is 100% accurate. If it is incorrect you will not be able to proceed

​

• DO apply as a “Dual Credit Student”

Confirming your application account:

• Look for your pin number to finish creating your application account
• It will be emailed to your personal email address and/or sent via text
• This is why your date of birth has to be accurate! 

​

• After you verify your account, click on the login button to finish your application

​

• There are 9 sections left to complete (11 total)

​

• You can switch back and forth between sections by using the menu on the left

​

• You can complete each section in order and click “continue” when you complete each page

• You can use the same address for your permanent AND mailing address

​

• You can share your preferred pronouns with us. It’s not required, completely up to you!

Geography & Nationality

• If you have lived in KY your whole life, just enter the month and year of your birth
• If you are NOT a US Citizen, don’t worry! You can still take dual credit classes with us!
• IMPORTANT: ONLY enter your SSN is you are 110% sure it is correct. If you enter the wrong SSN your KHEAA scholarship money will NOT get matched to you.
• If you do not know your SSN leave it blank. If you do not have a SSN leave it blank.

• You MUST include at least 1 parent/guardian. You can add additional parents/guardians

​

• Make sure your parent/guardian’s email is 100% correct! We will email them a parent/guardian agreement (to their email address) that they must complete for you to be able to take dual credit classes with us

• You are going through your school’s program

​

• If you are taking more than 1 class with UofL, and they are in different areas, just select 1 academic area.

​

• Select Fall 2025 for your start date

​

• A pop-up window will open
• If you start to type the name of your school, a list will appear, and you can select a school from that list.

​

• Make sure you are selecting the CORRECT school in the state of KENTUCKY. If you select a school with the same name, but in a different city or state your transcript will not get matched with your application.

​

• If you have attended multiple high school you need to add all of them to your application

Additional Information

​

• More than 30% of UofL students are first generation college students. We offer resources and support to our first gen students, that’s why we ask this question

​

• Please only answer yes to the 3^rd question if you and your family complete the free/reduced lunch paperwork each school year or if you are on another type of need based program

Disciplinary Information

• Answer these questions honestly

• If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions a pop up box will open and you will be able to provide an explanation.

​

• If you answer “Yes” you will receive a follow up call or email from our Executive Director of Admissions. Answering yes does not necessarily prevent you from taking dual credit courses with us.
