what i learned

3 of 8

I learned many things from VRT, but the most prominent lesson to me is to not hold back. If you lock up your true self and throw away the key, then how can you say you’re truly and wholly you? The answer is, you can’t. So why go through the unnecessary and taxing experience when you can have fun and be appreciated and loved because of your personality and ONLY yours. Laugh when you want to laugh, be witty when you want to be witty, and be kind when you want to be kind!

what our journey meant to me

5 of 8

This journey meant so much to me, as I was really sad after leaving my 5th grade class - and the only school i’ve ever known - and desperately craved friendship. Then, BOOM, VRT came and suddenly I find myself with awesome friends and 2 new wives! (I promise it’s not as bad as it sounds) VRT was an awesome place to have lighthearted, wholesome moments while somehow simultaneously talking about dark topics such as climate change. Thank you everyone from VRT for such an awesome summer!

To Sarah,

Thank you for playing tag and link tag with me, Leah, Yuna, and Ayla after VRT.

Thank you again,

Dear Sarah,

Thank you so much for always being so kind. You’re so funny, kind, friendly, and smart. It was really fun getting to see you this summer. I had a lot of fun playing blooket with you too. I can’t believe you’re going to be in middle school! I hope you have a great 6th grade year! See you at VRT/ hyoc in the fall!

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Sarah ;3 Thank you for showing us blooket and being a good friend.

Sarah, it has been very cool to see Elementary School VRT Sarah grow into Middle School VRT Sarah. Each year you’re growing into a more thoughtful and more confident person. I’m looking forward to continuing our p4c journey together.
