3. What is a THEME?

A Theme is a moral or a big idea.

4. How is a theme different than a topic?

A theme is different from a topic because a theme contains a topic. Also a topic is just a small idea and not something that many people can relate to.

My Big Idea

My big idea is that there will always be a tomorrow. I chose this theme because I know that everybody has days that they feel like the can’t get through, so even if they feel like everything is ruined, my theme symbolizes that there’s always a chance to start over and try again. Paul Harvey wrote a similar quote; “ever since I made tomorrow my favorite day, I’ve been uncomfortable looking back.” This is also showing how you should try to have a positive attitude and look to your future and not to your past. This is important because if you only think of what mistakes you’ve made instead of trying to move on and learn from them, you’re never going to get anywhere.
