High-Level Overview

  1. Game consists of “rounds”
  2. First round: everyone starts with 1 card
  3. Round determines a single loser. Loser gets +1 card in the next round.
  4. When a player gets 6 cards – they are eliminated
  5. Last standing player wins

Complication: “Kostya rule”

  • One player is nominated to be called “Kostya” for the whole game.
  • Each time deck completes a combination, Kostya is considered to be a LOSER.
  • If Kostya is eliminated from the game (or has 5 cards on his hand), and deck completes a combination, then Kostya comes back into game with 1 card.

In other words:

  • It’s easier to pile cards for Kostya
  • It’s also easier to get back into game
