This week we will be looking at the Mars One Project and what this will look like. This is something that will be happening during our lifetime so it is something exciting that we will be discussing. We will be looking at what the project is, the selection of people who will be going and how the chose these people. We will also look at what happens when they get to Mars and some of the challenges that they may face. ��Key Questions:

  • How long will it take?
  • Do you think it will be possible for them to live there?
  • What will happen if they don’t survive?

Lesson Name: To Infinity and Beyond ("First Light: The History of Telescopes")

Whole class

This week we will be doing a wrap up of what we have learnt about space this term. As a whole class we will go through a presentation that will ask the class questions about things that we have learnt. We will also complete a couple of Kahoots that will look at how much they have learnt this term. One Kahoot will look at the solar system. The other Kahoot will look at just the planets and check their knowledge. �Key Questions:

  • What is the solar system?
  • What are the planets?
  • What have we learnt about each planet?

This week there will be a number of independent reading activities this week but there will be one main reading which will be looking at telescopes and how they are the way they are today.
